Snowmass - Part 4 - Skiing

Sam took ski lessons every day we were there and he got pretty good by the end of the week.  His instructor's name was Erik, but the kids called him Yoda.

We could see him practicing from our balcony.  He's the little black and grey dot in the middle of the picture, first in line behind the instructor in the red jacket.

Thursday is race day at the ski school.  They set up an obstacle course for the kids to ski through.

Sam was riding the gondola by the second day ...

And riding the chairlift by the fourth day.

He got lots of practice on the greens.

We got to go skiing with him the afternoon of the last day.  He showed us all of the really cool kids trails through the trees that we'd been skiing right past.

I'm glad Sam got lots of practice riding the chairlift before he rode it with us.  I was one nervous Momma.

Melanie and Andrea went skiing too.  They did the Beginner's Magic which is three days of lessons.

Here's a really cool video that Andrea's instructor took on her last day.

And here are some of the random shots that Chris and I took of each other.

This was one of our favorite runs.  It looks amazingly flat from this photo.  It's funny how the camera does that.

The weather was great.  It was sunny and clear the first three days.

We got some snow late in the afternoon the fourth day and early morning on the fifth day.  It made the last day a lot of fun to have all of that fresh powder.
