Christmas Day in Matching PJs

Christmas Day has come and gone and our two boys spent the whole day in matching pajamas.

Here's a picture of the tree before the chaos started.

Sam was especially excited about the stockings. I remember that being one of my favorite things when I was little too.

He loved reaching his hand in and finding treat after treat.

One of the things Santa put in his stocking was a pair of glasses that make the lights on the tree look like snowflakes.

Sam helped everyone else with their stockings. He didn't think Daddy's was as fun as his.

Cleo wasn't left out and got some dog treats.

Lulu capturing the excitement on her camera.

Sam was excitedly counting how many presents were his.

Action shot of ripping paper. He's gotten pretty good at that!

He REALLY wanted to help open everyone's presents too.

He got really close when we were opening our presents. Maybe he could help a little, or was it just that he got to open another present as soon as we finished opening ours?

Cute picture with his bike helmet. He's pretty much outgrown his tricycle so he'll probably be getting a bike soon.

More cologne for Daddy!

This was Sam's big present from Mommy and Daddy. Yes, we got our three year old a laptop. It's a ten inch Dell. It's actually a Netbook called a Mini 10v. He loves it. He mostly plays online games on pbskids.org and nickjr.com, but we also got him the Jumpstart Preschool game. We were a little concerned that he wouldn't want to do anything except sit in front of the computer, but he is still playing with his other toys.

When Ben woke up from his nap, Sam opened his Christmas presents for him.

Ben focused on Sam and the paper. He was quite interested in all of the activity.

Sam was just as interested in Ben's toys as he was in his own -- even this simply little play gym. The play gym has been a big hit with Ben because it's exactly where he is developmentally. He loves kicking the wooden pieces hanging on the strings. He should be able to start reaching for and holding his toys over the next month.

Aunt Sharon and Uncle Fabio got Sam this Zingo game. It is a HUGE hit. He loves playing it (as long as we let him win). He smack-talks the whole time we are playing. Things like ...

I'm gonna beat you!
I'm faster than you!
I'm almost done!
I'm gonna win!

You can see the smirk on Chris's face in the picture above. Chris actually tries to beat him every now and then, which results in a fit and crying, but we have to try to teach him not to be a sore loser.

One time he was playing with Lulu and after beating her two times in a row he said, "That's okay Lulu. You'll win sometime." So Lulu thought it would be okay to beat him once. Nope! Fit. Crying. "I wanted to win!" We tried to console him, but it started escalating. Fine, here's your missing piece. Now you win too. Sam stops crying and says, "Now tell me congratulations!" He is a mess.
