The ice started coming down midday Thursday, December 5th. I went and picked the boys up early from school because it started sticking to everything as soon as it started coming down. This is a picture from three days later.
It finally started melting from the streets on the 9th, but it still wasn't getting above 32 degrees.
This is a picture of our backyard from Thursday, December 12th. There was still a few inches of ice in some spots.
Cleo was not happy about the ice. She 14 years old now and is losing control of her back legs. Trying to go outside to pee and poop just added insult to injury. She would fall in her poop and we would have to give her a bath. After a few days she simply refused to go outside and started going in the house. By that point the ice was mostly melted from the sidewalk out front so we had to take her for a walk every time she needed to go.
These boys are best buddies! They loved having so many days to hang out around the house in their PJ's.
