Yiayia Visits for Halloween

Yiayia came to see her boys for Halloween. We went to the Dallas Arboretum to see their pumpkin patch and pumpkin storybook houses. The Arboretum is always so beautiful. Sam loves to have the wide open spaces to run.

You can see downtown Dallas across White Rock Lake.

Carving a pumpkin is a holiday tradition. We always manage to pick the pumpkin with the thickest walls, and Sam always picks the most difficult stencil. Somehow Chris convinced him that simpler is better this year. New for this year, Sam wanted to roast the pumpkin seeds like they did at his school. We were doubtful, but they were yummy.

Making Halloween cookies.

My little Halloween monsters ... Fireman Sam and his dog Spot.

One day when the kids were in school, we went and had sushi for lunch. Nicoletta had never tried sushi before, so Blue Fish in Watters Creek was a great place to go.

I just came across your blog and you have an adorable family. I had to laugh when I kept seeing the same toys we have at our house. My boys are 4, almost 2, and 9 months. I really laughed when I saw that you had a firefighter and a dalmatian for Halloween. So did we - two years in a row!! God Bless!
