First Trip to the Dentist
We took Sam to the dentist for the first time about a week ago. He did amazingly well. We've really been talking it up and reading books about it and acting really excited about it, so he really wasn't scared at all. We really liked the office. Everyone was extremely nice. The dental hygienist was amazing and she kept making him laugh. He really liked the TV on the ceiling, especially since it was playing Cars. He actually let them do the full routine and even took a full set of X-rays. He wouldn't choose his flavor of flouride though. He just said blehh or yuck with each flavor she suggested, so I chose grape. He keeps talking about how the dentist tickled his teeth and washed them with soap. We took a couple of pictures with Chris's camera phone.
The dentist said he's definitely going to need an orthodontist in the future, which is not surprising. I have a big mouth with plenty of space and had an overbite growing up. Chris has a cross-bite and crowded teeth on the bottom. Looks like Sam will have my overbite with Chris's crowded teeth. Funny how that works. With the X-rays we got to see Sam's permanent teeth coming in. She said boys usually start losing their baby teeth around six and a half. We made a followup appointment for six months from now, so hopefully he continues to like the dentist. He wanted to go back there when he got home. I think he really liked all the games and prizes and balloons. They let him pick out lots of extra prizes since he did so well for his age.

Awesome. Blessed with Lott teeth. Good luck with that, Gilley.
