New House

We accepted an offer on our house on Thursday and put an offer on a new house on Saturday. We found out today that they accepted our offer on the new house! It's 5 bedroom, 4 bath, and about 4000 sqft.

We'd been looking at houses all week long, but we knew right away when we found the right one. Melanie watched Sam on Saturday while we were looking at houses. We came home for a late lunch and some rest, waited for Sam to wake up for his nap, and then had to leave the house for another showing. (We still had showings all weekend long.) We took Melanie and Sam to see the house and take another look ourselves before we made the offer. Melanie and Sam played in the model home while we signed the papers, then we all went to the neighborhood park.

Our current house is being inspected by the buyer's inspector tomorrow. The new house is new construction so it will be a little different. The builder is still doing finishing touches and then they'll have their inspector inspect it. We'll do a walk through with the builder, but will eventually have our inspector inspect it before we close.

We are anxious to close on both houses, but it will be about four more weeks before we can move. Hopefully we'll be back to taking more pictures of Sam and less pictures of houses this week!
