Sammy got a shiner riding his bike last weekend. He was going down a hill, forgot to hit the brakes, and hit the guard rail. He had a pretty good goose egg over his right eye.
A few days later and it's black and blue.
At school, when Sam was asked what happened, he said it happened on the "garden trail". And when did it happen? "Oh, I don't know ... like three months ago."
