He'll be five months old this week and he's still eating every three hours, so we thought we'd give rice cereal a try. They call it solid food, but I wouldn't go that far. He didn't really know what to do with it. We'd put a spoonful in his mouth and he'd just push it out with his tongue. He thought it was a pretty fun game though. He didn't think it was so much fun when we tried it again the next morning. I guess we'll wait a week and try again. I think we fed him for about 30 minutes and only got him to swallow about one tablespoon total. We took video of it, which you can see here: video1, video2, video3, video4, video5. Sam was a little camera shy because he hadn't really seen the video camera before.
Sam is starting to "talk" a lot more now. He's added a delightful squeal to his vocabulary. I think the goal is to see just how loud and high-pitched he can go. He always smiles after he squeals as if to say, "that was a good one!"

Those videos were hilarious!
Now I want to see some video of those squeals!
I agree with Melly. Nicoletta laughed a lots during the video.
Sam was just adjusting to some thing new. Getting food poked in is mouth.
